Event The 2018 batch of government Dental college and Hospital celebrated their momentous graduation ceremony today. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Vedprakash Mishra, as the chief guest,Dr Neelam Mishra guest of honour. This occasion was nothing short of grandeur, marking a significant milestone in the lives of the graduates.Dr. Sadhna Raina, in her introductory speech, eloquently encapsulated the essence of the graduating batch, setting the stage for a day of celebration and reflection. Dean Dr. Abhay Datarkar congratulated the graduates, emphasizing their transformation into holistic oral healthcare providers during their time at the institute. Event Blood Donation Camp on occasion of Ganadhishay by NSS and Batch 2021 Govn Dental College Nagpur Government Dental College NSS unit organized a grand blood donation camp on occasion of Ganadhishay Ganpati utsav and donated much needed 20 blood donations to the Model Blood Bank of Government Medical College & Hospital Nagpur. Patron and Dean Dr. Abhay Datarkar wished and motivated students while Blood Bank co-in charge Dr. Sanjay Chavan, Dr. Pragati, Mr. Dharmale guided all staff and students. For the success of the program NSS incharge Dr. Yogesh Rathod, co-in-charge Dr. Sachin Khatri, students Narendra, Abhishek, Sampati, Yash, Swanil, Saqib, Raunak worked hard.

Event Fire & Safety Mockdrill and Training in Government Dental College In the post-Covid period, all medical and dental colleges have suffered life and financial losses in some fire incidents while trying to provide services beyond their capacity. This is the reason why the government, especially Divisional Commissioner and Deans of all colleges formed institutional fire safety committee.Every year, fire safety training is organized in schools through this committee. This year second time a surprise Mockdrill conducted and with Help of NMC fire brigade team lead by Mr. Bhagwan Wagh all staff and students demonstrated fire and rescue procedure with departmental Mockdrills. Dean Dr. Abhay Datarkar always motivates staff to keep updated regarding safety procedures and also procures additional fire extinguishers for Institution. Committee chairman Dr. Prashant Pandilwar lead the drill while Dr. Rathod, Dr. Parate, Dr. Sushant, Dr. Kalpak, Dr. Damayanti, Dr. Manchanda, Dr. Bahetwar worked hard for success of Mockdrill.

Event GanaDhishaay 2k21 Batch & Nature Club GDCH Plastic Plogging Drive successfully today at Government Dental college and Hospital & Hostel Campus Students were enjoying the natural activity they enthusiastically participated and collected 5 kg of plastic On this Occasion E -bricks were Donated to the NGO Nagpur Plogger Dean Dr Abhay Datakar Praise the students for their good work Dr Damyanti Walkey Dr Shubha Tawani Dr Dipak Ghatge Mr Pawan Rathod, Mr Shubham Kangale , Mr Pranay Tumsare, Mr Saurabh Kosare, Mr Narendra Singh, Mr Atharva Dange Mrs Nishita Chimnani, Mrs Priyanka Patil were present and contributed for success of event .

Event On the occasion of Teacher's Day Department of Oral Pathology Conducted “Elocution Contest ” for UG students. Topic- My Profession is the best profession” 8 students spoke in the contest Yash Khobragade was awarded 1st Prize Anisha Puttewar 2 nd Prize . All Staff of Oral Pathology were present. Event Intern club activity The annual event of intern’s club scientific presentation programme was successfully conducted on 4th sep 2023. This event served as a platform for interns to showcase the diverse cases they had managed during their internships, with the overarching goal of fostering healthy interaction and knowledge exchange among interns while striving for optimal patient care. This event not only provided a platform for our dedicated interns to showcase their remarkable cases but also served as a testament to the spirit of collaboration and the pursuit of knowledge that define our academics.Ten interns presented their cases, and the judging panel included Dr. Jyoti Manchanda and Dr. Amit Parate.The program commenced with a warm welcome extended to the Dean, Vice Dean, and judges. Dr. Sadhana Raina, the Intern Incharge, delivered a heartfelt speech. Dr. Sadhana Raina’s heartfelt speech set the tone for a day filled with insightful presentations. The presentations began with the following interns and their respective topics:1. Ankita Deshmukh: “Radix Entomolaris and Paramolaris – Clinical Approach in Endodontics.”2. Nigarish Qazi: “Endodontic Crown.”3. Aditi Mhasal: “Restoration of Mutilated Teeth.”4. Riya Shukla: “Complete Denture Using the Neutral Zone Technique.”5. Ruchita Gharde: “Management of Oblique Crown and Root Fracture with Glass Fiber Reinforced Composite.”6. Mansi Aswani: “Management of Sunken Cheeks Using Magnet Retained Detachable Cheek Plumper – A Case Report.”7. Komal Paryani: “Composite Build-Up of Posterior Teeth.”8. Muskan Dhanwani: “Ultrasonic Retrieval of Separated Instruments.”9. Shreya Jain: “Post and Core.”10. Prajwal Kolhe: “Esthetic Rehabilitation.”Each intern’s case illuminated the remarkable dedication and competence that our interns have developed during their internships, all with the overarching goal of delivering the highest level of patient care. Certificates were awarded to all participants immediately following their presentations. After all the cases were presented, Vice Dean Dr. Manjusha Waradpande delivered an inspiring speech to motivate the students.Mansi Dhote received the first prize, and Ankita Deshmukh was honored with the second prize. The program concluded with a call to carry forward the spirit of learning and collaboration embodied by the Interns Club as students continue their academic journey. Today’s event was a great success due to the collective efforts of all involved, and there are high expectations for even greater achievements in the future.

Event Celebrating 25 yrs Silver jubilee 1998 Batch Batch of 1998 GDCH Nagpur celebrated the 25th silver Jubilee Reunion on 19th August 2023. It was heart warming to see all the alumni reliving the memories of the college days. Dean Dr.Abhay Datarkar addressed the gathering. All the senior teachers and faculty members were present for this momentous occasion . Former Dean Dr.Vinay Hazarey also shared his memories. Passing the Torch of Light was pass from 1997 Dr Ashwin Chute & Rakhi Shende Batch to 1998 Batch and Handed over to 1999 Dr Harshal Thakare & Dr Abhinav Deva Vice Dean Mangesh Phadnaik , All Head of Dept and faculty were present on this occasion.Teachers Dr Ramreddy Yeltiwar , Dr Ramesh Kohad , Dr Arun Dupare, Dr Jibhkate , Dr Waradhpande, Dr Ramhari Sathwane , Dr Vandana Kokane , Dr Vandana Gade , Dr Suchitra Gosavi , Dr Varsha Manekar , Dr Sulbha Radke , Dr Sadhana Raina graced the gathering and blessed the silver jubilee batch.
