Event UG ICMR community based research project Dental diagnosis and treatment camp was organised by NSS unit of GDCH Nagpur and department of Public Health dentistry in association with Sunshine Foundation Nagpur UG ICMR community based research project Dental diagnosis and treatment camp was organised by NSS unit of GDCH Nagpur and department of Public Health dentistry in association with Sunshine Foundation Nagpur for underprivileged kids living in urban slums of nagpur of age group 6-12 years.Sunshine foundation is a registered NGO serving disadvantaged and underprivileged children living in urban slums of Nagpur city for their better future and give them support in all aspects of development. This was a follow up and concluding camp ICMR STS study. A total of 90 children were comprehensively checked up through standardised screening chart for ICMR STS research as well as treated for their findings.Various activities were organised for kids focusing of teaching brushing techniques, Dental hygiene, Healthy diet and maintaining overall hygiene and all children were given certificates for their participation.Director and Founder Of NGO Ms. Deepti Karat ma’am thanked Dr. Abhay Datarkar Sir for all the permissions. Team Sunshine foundation welcomed NSS incharge Dr. Yogesh Rathod sir, Dr Jyoti Wankhede madam, Dr. Pawan Motghare Sir for the camp. Event LINK NXT 4th PG Activity held on 5th August '22 LINK NXT 4th PG Activity held on 5th August ’22 was problem based which was presented by Dept of Prosthodontics & Dept of Orthodontics in presence of respectable Dr Devidas Kharat Sir & Dr Pushpa Hazare Ma’am as subject expert.Dean Dr Abhay Datarkar felicitated Dr Devidas Kharat Sir & Dr Sulekha Gosavi felicitated Dr Pushpa Hazare, followed by interactive interdisciplinary case presentations by post graduate students of Dept of Prostho on Management of Short Clinical Crown & by Dept of Ortho on case series on Condylar Hyperplasia. HOD’s, fellow staff colleagues & PG students from all depts were present. Event was concluded with prize distribution for Ortho-day celebration & release of Logo of Orthodontic dept Youtube Channel,followed by speeches from speakers & Dean to gathering. Dr Vinay Hazare Sir was present for the event. Dr Pushpa Hazare talked on various ways to perform selfless service to humanity and Dr Devidas Kharat Sir appreciated pg activity & GDCH team for putting efforts in developing GDCH.

Event GOVERNMENT DENTAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL , NAGPUR Department of Periodontology, Government Dental College and Hospital, Nagpur in collaboration with Indian Society of Periodontology celebrated Oral Hygiene Day in a meaningful manner spread over two days, on 1st and 2nd August 2022 to commemorate the Birth anniversary of late Dr. G.B Shankwalkar, the Doyen of Indian Periodontics, Ex- Professor and Dean of Government Dental College and Hospital, Nagpur.This year Oral Hygiene Day was organized as Curriculum Enrichment Programme by the Department of Periodontology on the theme ‘Gum Care for Tooth Care’. It was celebrated with the objective to bring the awareness about oral hygiene and to share the importance of preventing oral disease and their effect on systemic condition with several activities involved for the masses and scientific session for the classes.On the first day of Oral Hygiene Day Celebration i.e. 1st August 2022, Cleanliness drive / Rally was organised from 10 am onwards starting from Government Dental College and Hospital, Nagpur with Dean, Faculty members and students to Navyug Prathamik Vidyalay, Rajbaksha Nagpur where a free dental check-up was set up under the guidance of Dr. Sachin Khatri, Head Of Department , Public Health Dentistry. Around 300 school children were examined and demonstrated oral hygiene measures.The event was followed by scientific session from 2pm onwards. Dr. Mangesh Phadnaik, Professor and Head Of Department, Periodontology welcomed the guests while Dean Dr. Abhay Datarkar addressed the gathering. Dr. Vaibhav Karemore introduced Dr. Vinay Hazarey, Ex Dean, Ex-Professor in Department of Oral Pathology, GDCH Nagpur as the guest speaker who delivered an insightful lecture on the Topic: Gum Care For Tooth Care – Goes Molecular. Dr. Vivek Thombre gave vote of thanks while Dr. Adiya Apon conducted the proceedings. On the second day, i. e. 2nd August 2022, various competitions such as Rangoli, drawing and painting, slogan writing, e poster and smile contest were organised from 9 am to 3 pm for faculty members and students. All the events received an overwhelming response with innovative ideas and great efforts raising oral hygiene awareness from the faculty members, postgraduates, undergraduates and interns making it a successful one.The Valedictory function for the same was conducted from 3:00 to 4:30pm at Swadhay-1 with Dr. Vinay Hazarey again was the chief guest. He congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of the organizers. Event NIRF Ranking Celebrations at GDC Nagpur. On 2 August 2022 all the staff members celebrated the greatest achievement of an institution- All India Rank 9th in NIRF Accreditation.
