On 13th Feb, on the auspicious occasion of International Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon’s Day

Event On 13th Feb, on the auspicious occasion of International Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon’s Day On 13th Feb, on the auspicious occasion of International Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon’s Day, Government Dental College and Hospital , Nagpur hosted an exciting array of events to spread awareness about pertinent topics such as Road traffic safety and primary trauma care. It was organised by the Department of Oral and maxillofacial surgery under the guidance of our dynamic dean Dr Abhay Datarkar Sir and executed by the head of the department Dr Prashant Pandilwar Sir and Dr Varsha Manekar Maam . Great enthusiasm was shown by the junior residents of the department in the planning of the event to the every last detail. A day prior on 12th Feb free dental extractions were done in the below poverty line areas in the Nagpur in service of the general public and to spread awareness of the branch of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Today the event began with the speech about awareness and road safety protocols and the importance of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in the society by Dr Varsha maam who then Felicitated the acting dean Dr Bhad maam who was standing in for Dr Datarkar sir who could not be present for the occasion, but his inspirational presence could be felt amongst all of us. Then Dr Vandana maam felicitated Dr Pandilwar sir . This was followed by a fun quiz competition for the under graduate students. After which the crowd dispersed for a bike rally to spread awareness about road safety particularly in terms of seat belt wearing and helmet wearing while driving to prevent road traffic accidents . Finally the day ended with the OMFS themed collage making competition for under graduates. The event was a tremendous success enjoyed by all . The valedictory function for quiz and collage making competition winners will be held on 14th Feb in the presence of our Dean , Dr Abhay Datarkar Sir .

Herbal Tree plantation at GDCHN

Event Herbal Tree plantation at GDCHN On occasion of first anniversary of Herbal Garden in Govn Dental College & Hospital Nagpur, NSS unit organised herbal tree plantation by Hands of Dean. Dr. Abhay Datarkar in presence of all officers and Staff. Generic and common names were plated near all trees for students education and motivation. ” students should take advantage of herbal garden in their research for ayurvedic and holistic approach in Dentistry ” Dean further motivated students to nurture the garden for pleasant atmosphere around. On occasion senior staff Dr. Manjusha Warhadpande, Dr. Sulabha Radke, Dr. Khatri, Dr. Deogade, Dr. Bahaddure, Dr. Gondivkar, Dr. Motghare, Dr. Bhoyar, Dr. Hegde, Dr. Damayanti were present. Vote of thanks presented by NSS incharge Dr. Yogesh Rathod while miss. Jyoti, Ankita, Prajakta, Gauri, Mast. Kalpesh, Umesh, Nandkishor, faizan took efforts for conduction of program.

Event 1st LinkNxt pg activity of year 2023 was held on 03/02/2023. 1st LinkNxt pg activity of year 2023 was held on 03/02/2023.For this event Dr Ramreddy Yeltiwar Sir and Dr Neelam Pandey Ma’am were present as Chief guests and subject experts,Dr Sulekha Gosavi introduced the guests, Dr Wasundhara Bhad Ma’am felicitated Dr Neelam Pande Ma’am and Dr Mangesh Phadnaik Sir felicitated Dr Ramreddy Yeltiwar Sir, followed by interactive interdisciplinary case presentation by post graduate students of Prosthodontics dept on Rehabilitation of post covid mucormycosis treated patients and case series on preparation of alveolar ridge for implant retained Crown and Bridge by dept of Periodontics, then dept of Periodontics release the poster, all HODs, fellow colleagues and PG students from all department were present, Dean Dr Abhay Datarkar Sir addressed the gathering, Dr Ramreddy Yeltiwar Sir who was poineer of PG activity at GDCH nagpur appreciated and congratulated for new changes in activity according to NAAC requirement and Dr Neelam Pande Ma’am also appreciated for presntation, and congratulated Dean Sir and his team for the recent development in GDCH.
