World Environment  Day
On the occasion of ‘World Environment Day’, “NATURE CLUB”, Govt. Dental College and Hospital (GDCH), Nagpur has conducted Plogging & Awareness Campaign addressing Big issue that is ‘ Plastic is menace to the environment’. The program was conducted at Ambazari Lake, Nagpur.
The deleterious effects of plastic are very well known, yet the use has not been discontinued.
Enthusiastic Support From Head of Institution Dean of GDCH Dr. Abhay Datarkar,congratulated the student members of Nature Club, Mr. Ankush, Mr. Palsh, Mr. Sangharsh, Mr. Pawan, Miss Rosy, Miss Kshama, Miss Shreya and staff Dr. Damyanti Walkey and Dr. Shubha Hegde for creating awareness among youngsters for Reduce Reuse & Recycle ♻️ Plastic.
With more than 40 volunteers, the campaign was organised to create awareness amongst people pertaining to the hazardous effects of plastic. The local people at the lake were addressed,motivated and educated inculcating the importance of environmental cleanliness. The students of the college actively participated in slogan and poster making competition which were displayed to the mob.
GDCH has always been voluntarily involved in various programs educating people about oral and general health so far. Through the “NATURE CLUB”, GDCH has taken a step forward to create awareness amongst people about healthy environment through various eco- friendly activities.
