Every year Republic Day is celebrated in Government Dental College and Hospital, Nagpur on 26th January with grandeur.
The Flag Hoisting Ceremony was held at 8:00 am in the college premises by the hands of the honourable Dean Dr. Abhay Datarkar. Teaching and non-teaching Staff and Students participated in the Republic day celebration. The Dean addressed the crowd with his inspirational speech on patriotism and the role of students in nation building. He also explained the contribution of GDCH in society as a part of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India.
The Dean, GDCH appreciated the efforts taken by the COVID Warriors including students, teaching staff and non-teaching staff for their significant contribution in health care delivery of patients. As a token of appreciation, all were felicitated by certificates for their extra-ordinary work.
Other students of different batches who secured distinctions and highest marks in the subjects were also felicitated.
It was a joyous occasion wherein all the Government Dental College and Hospital, Nagpur family rejoiced and celebrated the 73rd Republic Day.
The celebrations were followed by Refreshment.
