Department of Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry, GDCH Nagpur was established as an independent specialty in 1968 with present intake of undergraduates (63 seats), postgraduates (03 seats) and candidates for fellowship programme (02 seats) every year. Over the years, this department has transpired to be one of the leaders in oral healthcare for children as well as adolescents in central India with key focus directed towards special children. The department thrives on proficient faculty members who earnestly train the students to enhance their clinical and research acumen. We are committed to perform a wide array of treatments modalities for children under one roof with sophisticated state-of-the-art amenities. The foreground of this department resides in conducting outreach activities (pit and fissure sealant program, fluoride application, camp for special children) to ameliorate the oral health of underprivileged children of society. We are also devoted to the advancement of specialty through CDE programmes, encouraging innovative ideas and contributing scientific literature to various indexed national and international journals. Going forward, it is our foremost priority to continue to be flag bearers of this very special branch and make it reach the pinnacle.
