As a commitment to the community service, Government Dental College and Hospital, Nagpur (GDCHN) is equipped with 2 Mobile Dental Units. The van is fully air conditioned equipped with 2 dental chairs having suction motor, compressor connected to portable generator and separate portable dental X-ray unit. The van is having digital oral health education system for creating awareness among the masses. It has a public address system which is of great use during rural camps as well as for public oral health education. All kinds of procedures like tooth extraction, scaling, filling, diagnosis & treatment of pre-cancerous lesions and treatment of Oral Sub-Mucous Fibrosis (OSMF) can be performed in the van.

                 Mobile dental van is a viable option to take the sophisticated oral health services to the doorsteps of the under-served population. It accompanies the students of the institution in school-based oral health programs, providing dental care to the homeless or migrants, and screening programs for the population with various oral diseases.
