Fellowship Program

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery started a fellowship course in CraniomaxillofacialTrauma, affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Nashik (MUHS) since 2017. Intake capacity for the course is 2. The candidates who have completed their Post- Graduation in Maxillofacial Surgery is eligible for the course. Duration of course is 12 months residential .This Unique course provides a well-rounded and balanced training in handling the clinical inpatient and outpatient procedures. During the program fellows get opportunity to work in casualties in Government Medical College and in Trauma Centre. Fellows will have posting in OPD, minor OT and major OT by rotation. This course offers experience encompassing the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Trauma. The course ensures that fellows develop a solid foundation in patient evaluation, treatment planning, and management. The structure of course is designed to facilitate an environment for scholarly activity including research and publication.

 

Dental Rehabilitation of Pediatric Patients a fellowship course with 02 intake capacity is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Nashik since 2021. A Post graduate in the subject of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry is eligible to apply for this 12 month duration fellowship course. The course include behavior management, restorative work (GIC, composite etc) Stainless steel crowns, other crowns (Zirconia, polycarbonate, celluloid etc), endodontic treatment of primary and permanent teeth, extractions of primary and permanent teeth, interceptive orthodontics (space maintainers) and preventive management of pediatric patient with and without conscious sedation (Nitrous oxide-oxygen anesthesia). The course also includes training in basic and advanced life support. The course ensures that the fellow improves their efficiency in dental rehabilitation of apprehensive and fearful child under Nitrous oxide-oxygen anesthesia.
