Welcome to this prestigious, Govt. Dental College and Hospital, Nagpur one of its oldest dental education institutions in central India.
Popularly known as GDC, this institution was established in the year 1968 by Govt. of Maharashtra, with the primary objective of spreading dental education and oral health care in Vidarbha and Central India. Today GDC Nagpur is an important integral part of the health care system due to efforts of visionary leaders, skilled staff, dedicated students, use of newer technology and research in Oral Health. What began as a single step five decades back , has transformed into a journey of more than thousand feet, marching together in tandem towards one Goal – “Excellence”.
It is an honor for me to lead this prestigious dental school finding ways to further growth and development, providing practical education to students using newer technology, skill enhancement programme and teaching learning resources.
We continue on a journey, making efforts for a great future of all stockholders of the institution by augmenting the education system using latest gadgets in teaching learning skills, developing opportunities using technical advancements and serving the society to fulfill our moto “Service to Humanity”.
Through a strong tradition of thorough training, our faculty takes great pride in how well we prepare the students for ethical practice of dentistry and encourage them by celebrating achievements and success of GDC staff , students and alumni .
Working together we hope to create a better health outcome for the community at large and achieve our new goals to fulfil our mission.
