Workshop on human trafficking and crime against women and children
On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, MANOMAY 2022, a workshop was organized on human trafficking and crime against women and children in collaboration with Youva Rural Association and Prakruthi under the campaign “YOUNG INDIA UNCHAINED”. The workshop was conducted in the college auditorium on 2nd September. The guest speakers were Ms. Gursimran Kaur and Ms. Deepali. There were around 150 students who attended the workshop.
They put forth statistics that were surprising and overwhelming. Topics like human trafficking, rape, kidnapping, child abuse, eve teasing etc. were discussed. The session was interactive and students were able to express their views on the same. The main motto behind the workshop was to form a committee in the institution that can bring about awareness as well as student participation in response to such situations. They formed a core committee for the deed which includes:
